Akademie Street Boutique Hotel - Franschhoek

Just 300 metres from the Franschhoek monument, in the heart of the Franschhoek Wine Valley, Akademie Street Boutique Hotel offers luxurious suites and traditional cottages, some with their own private swimming pools.

All of the accommodation at Akademie Street isin lush gardens and many have views of the mountains of the Cape Winelands. Each suite or cottage has its own theme and the property boasts with wood fired hot tubs and fragrant landscaped gardens.

Gelatenheid Oortuiging and Vreugde each have their own sun-kissed swimming pool and shady, private garden. The fourth building, Uitsig is a separate, large, luxurious upstairs suite with balcony and lovely views. The fifth building, Twyfeling is a gracious Cape Dutch style house with large living rooms and two large bedroom suites. Uitsig and Twyfeling share a large, heated pool and garden.

A full English breakfast is served each morning and the hotel’s concierge desk is open 247 to help you with restaurants, wine tours, hikes and advice on what to see and do.

Deluxe King Suite. Oortuiging A is one of 2 suites within a historic 1860s cottage. It has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath. This suite has direct access to the cottage pool. This cottage can be booked together with Oortuiging B as a 2-bedroom cottage. ;
One-Bedroom Cottage - Vreugde. Known as Vreugde, this signature cottage has a private access entrance and features a wood-burning hot tub, bath and walk-in shower, a woodburner in the bedroom and a kitchenette. It boasts a private terrace and a plunge pool. Secure parking is provided. ;
Double Suite - Uitsig. Uitsig is a one-bedroom suiteon the first floor, with access via a private staircase. It features a bathroom with a walk-in shower and bath. The suite has a private balcony with wood burning hot tub and views to the maintains. It also has direct access to the main garden, heated pool and Jacuzzi®. ;
Double Suite - Twyfeling A. Twyfeling A is one of three suites located in the main hotel building, an elegant Cape Dutch house. It features a bedroom and bathroom, with walk-in shower and free-standing bath. The suite also has direct access to the main garden, heated pool and Jacuzzi®. ;
Double Suite - Twyfeling B. Twyfeling A is one of three suites located in the main hotel building, an elegant Cape Dutch house. It features a bedroom and bathroom, with walk-in shower and free-standing bath. The suite offers access to a secluded courtyard and direct access to the main garden, heated pool and Jacuzzi®. ;
Double Suite - Oortuiging B. Oortuiging B is one of two suites in a historic 1860s cottage. It has a walk-in shower and freestanding bath. The suite has direct access to the cottage pool. It can be booked together with Oortuiging A to form a private two-bedroom cottage. ;
Studio with Balcony. Gelatenheid A is a loft apartment on the first floor. I boasts a double height ceiling and a balcony overlooking the cottage pool. It has a private outdoor hob tub, a walk-in shower and freestanding bath. The loft can be booked with Gelatenheid B to form a private two-bedroom cottage. ;
Deluxe Suite. Set on the ground floor, Gelatenheid B has a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the cottage pool. It has a private, outdoor hob tub, a walk-in shower and freestanding bath. It has private access and secure parking. It can be booked with Gelatenheid A to form a private two bedroom cottage. ;
